Cinéfondation (short films by film school students)

Courts métrages (films under 15 minutes).

Competition films are screened at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, in the Louis Lumière Auditorium. Special screenings (such as Cannes Classics) and out-of-competition films are also offered to the public and invited guests.

The jury, presided over by a guest of honor, rewards the best films of the festival. Several prestigious prizes are awarded:

Director's Award

the Screenplay Prize.

The awards are presented at the closing ceremony on the last day of the festival.
